Hey friends! It hurts me to part with this one - but I must thin the herd to raise funds for relocation. A little about this bass:

Weighing just under 9lbs at 8lb 15.1oz is this gorgeous 1995 JJ-4, with a stunningly Tiger-like flamed maple top. The body is ash, the neck is maple. From what I understand, PGM stopped making Moon instruments for a period of time in the late 90s, and this precedes that. The quality certainly shows. The neck is a very comfortable C shape that is fast but not too thin.

Upgrades:
- EMG JVX pickups in Ivory
- EMG BTS preamp (Vol, Blend, Bass, Treble)
- Gotoh Res-O-Lite Tuners
- Gotoh knobs
- Dunlop Strap Locks

I am asking 1600 NOW $1000 shipped for this beast, and I am now considering trades (trade value $1200-1500). I like basses, recording stuff, synths, pedals... Wow, gorgeous bass! If my bass needs weren't already met and I had the money, I'd be heading over to Philly right about now. (I live in southern NJ).

So best I can do is say GLWTS and give you a bump from a Jersey-delphia bassist.

(I love Japanese-made basses. My main is a Fender Aerodyne and I once had a Japanese-made Soundgear that I kinda regret giving up).

Hey friend! Currently it has an all EMG setup, so it's 100% active. Included with the sale will be the original electronics - Passive J pickups and a nice Preamp both made by Moon.

The original pickups are fabulous classic-voiced J bass pickups. They sound great but for the band I was playing in I was soloing the pickups often with drive - and the hum just wasn't workin for me. YMMV!

The original preamp, to my understanding was meant to be similar to the Bartolini preamps of the time. The buyer will be able to choose between the EMG setup or if they want to restore the bass to its original form.

Surprised this one's still up for grabs.

(This is definitely a bass fueling my GAS pains. I don't need it, but if I had the disposable income, I would be on my way to get it since I live maybe 30-40 minutes from Philly).

So I guess here's another bump ang GLWTS.

that's what I'm saying! Part of me hopes I'll be able to hang onto it... But at this present moment, it's still gotta go!
