The thinning continues. Bought this creamy oly white jazz from Mike & Mike's up in Seattle a few years ago, possibly the authority on all Japanese guitars and basses. I tried to write up a better description of this bass, but could not! Here is the original listing from Reverb that they wrote, with detailed specs:

Up for sale, a 1995 Fender Jazz Bass '62 vintage reissue model in near mint condition and in perfect working order with a custom color Olympic White gloss finish. An early Fender Japan model, this "Made in Japan" Jazz Bass was produced at the famed Fujigen factory, rarely seen outside its country of origin. A 1962 reissue (officially model JB62-58), this Jazz Bass has a great range of vintage-flavored tones, with a basswood body, one-piece maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, offering a balanced, smooth acoustic quality. Plugged in, the bass delivers a touch of aggressive growl, ample midrange presence and burp, and low end authority that can get plenty thumpy with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. Weighing 9lbs 4oz and strung with 45-105 roundwound strings, this Jazz Bass has been dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with comfortable action and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a U profile carve with plenty of roundness in the shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .965” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is an extremely dark cut of this particular tonewood with dot inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire. The bass adheres to traditional Fender specifications with a 1 1/2" nut width, full 34" scale length, and 7 1/4" fretboard radius, playing easily in every register. The peghead sports a '62 style "Fender Jazz Bass" decal, along with original tuning machines with clover buttons and light surface patina. The "Made in Japan" script and N-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, with stock pickups and pots, and the chrome hardware is positively gleaming. The pickguard has been upgraded with a dark red glossy Fender USA guard, and the Olympic Gloss gloss finish has a more yellowed tint from the factory, with virtually no additional aging over the last quarter century. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few shallow dings on the treble-side lower bout body edge, and neck profile sports a pristine smooth ambered gloss finish.

Since owing this gorgeous instrument, I've swapped the pickups for SD Antiquity II (originals will be included), as well as an Emerson Wiring Harness. I wasn't impressed with the stock pups, so this was a much needed upgrade, however, you could easily go back if you wish. Other than this mod, the bass is as described from Mike & Mike's. It's been sitting in my studio and rarely played, which is a shame. Time to move it on!

Comes with an aftermarket tweed HSC.
Price includes shipping/insurance CONUS. Cheers.
