Up for sale is a used but well maintained Wilkinson 4+1 conversion kit from the early 90's.
Includes a copy of the instructions, the bridge, mounting screws, replacement string tree/button, and a bone nut. No original box
Wilkinson made these in the US in the late 80's/early 90s as a way to turn your 4 string P-bass into a 5 string, but were discontinued and have a bit of a cult following.
After installing the bridge, the string retainer gets replaced with the included anchor, and the D-string gets tuned at the bridge like a headless. The bridge plate here has some scratches from the intonation being adjusted, but everything is in overall good cosmetic, and excellent working order (see photos). I am including the bone nut from the 1983 Fender Precision bass that this was pulled from, as I will have no use for it otherwise, and it may serve you as a template for string spacing. This does NOT mean that the nut will drop in to your nut slot and work great. Be prepared to have a new nut cut for your particular instrument.
Feel free to PM questions, but I'm pretty firm on the price. Shipping will be USPS priority to the continental US and is FREE. Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US is OK, but we will need to negotiate what the cost for that would be.
