Feeling a bit conflicted with this bass… absolutely love the aesthetics, but the ergonomics just aren't working for me. Putting it up as a trade feeler for now.
Found this from a reputable Japanese shop that posted on digimart. Used ZenMarket to make the purchase. Bought brand new a few months ago. The bass is in near mint condition.
It was listed as a Euro 4LX with an EX-LTD in the description. From what I understand, these were limited edition releases in Japan. There's a similar one listed on eBay for about $4k now, for reference.
Features a spalted maple top, ebony fingerboard, Aguilar super doubles with OB-2 pre. Weighs 9.0 on my digital scale. Includes Spector gig bag and adjusting tools.
EDIT: Looks like Spector just dropped some Euro CST Spalted Maples in the US… very similar build, but with the traditional P/J pickup configuration. Those are listed at $3499 new for the 4-string version.
