This 2010's Emerald Guitars Flow Bass Carbon Fiber / Graphite 5-String bass is Used and in Excellent Condition: no nicks, dings, dents, cracks or other issues. Just very light handling wear from studio use.
The neck is straight, the fingerboard and frets have just been cleaned / polished and are in Excellent condition (no grooves, flat spots or string wear). The action has been professionally set low with new nickel roundwound strings and proper intonation. A non-original hardshell case is included.
The Flow Bass features full, one-piece carbon fiber construction that allowed Emerald Guitars to create a bass that is light weight, exceptionally strong and stable, with great tone in a body that has lines and curves that just 'flow'. The one-piece construction provides incredible stiffness for a neck that has easy adjustability with a double action truss rod and tuning stability. The neck runs seamlessly into the sculpted body that is designed to hug your body comfortably while playing.
Because the bass is from a singular exoskeleton, creating all the structural strength of the bass, it provides more freedom with the tone-generating core of the bass. Emerald developed a unique 'acoustic tone compound' that can be tailored to create different fundamental tones, just like using different tone woods. Their specially developed compound contains tiny air pockets which reduces the density, allowing Emerald to carefully tailor the size and quantity of these air pockets to create the ideal tonal properties.
