Here's the final bass I gotta sell, and it's the hardest to let go. I've been playing this as my main bass for the last 3 years, and it's really incredible, but I just commissioned a bass (which I love) and I just need the space and money. This is a 1910's german flatback bass that the incredible luthier Ed Maday (who just built my new instrument) built an entire new top, neck, tailpiece, and bridge for. So it's half an old german bass, half a masterbuilt new bass (circa 2022). Small body, super playable, incredibly loud clear and fast. I have played this on many gigs with drums unamplified, and had zero problems being heard. It was originally a 1/2 bass with a short string length, but now it's a full long 3/4 neck with a 41 inch string length. The top is made of red cedar, which is an incredibly fast responsive wood (I know Seth Kimmel has also made incredible bass tops from cedar). This bass has never had a problem, and it's completely ready to go as is. Over the last years of playing it, I've had a few people express interest, it's really and incredible instrument. Spiro Weichs on at the moment, with a full circle pickup. I've had gut on it and it sounded great too.
