First up, I would like to keep this a local sale for now because I don't have a good case for it and the tilt-back headstock makes me very nervous to ship.
Gibson Ripper that's been through it, with mostly non-original parts (detailed below). Not sure of the year. Finish is checked and worn through in many places all over the body. The neck has many finish chips and dings but I don't personally find them bothersome. There are some holes (presumably accidentally) drilled through the body in the course of some electronics modifications conducted by a previous owner. Everything seems structurally sound but you could certainly plug them if you were worried about cracking or breaking. Strap buttons replaced with Schaller strap locks and front strap button moved to back of top horn by me (my preferred spot for this body style). Frets are very low but they have been leveled and touched up as much as possible so the bass plays very well. If this bass were to be your main instrument I would consider a refret soonish.
Weight is 8 lb 11 oz, very light for a Ripper, so I'm pretty sure the body is alder and not maple. Ebony fretboard.

- all electronics and wiring. it is wired as original with a reproduction harness by KellingSound which I purchased on ebay. (the bass was wired VVT when I bought it)
- Bridge (Hipshot Supertone 3-point)
- Nut (replaced with brass - it's pretty ugly and if I were planning to keep this bass forever I would replace it, but it works fine
- pickguard.
