Offering for sale my 2021 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Precision Bass (Faded 3-tone sunburst Journeyman relic finish).
I purchased this bass brand new in January 2025 from Rainbow Guitars. Rainbow had the bass as 'new old stock'. I have warranty papers that I registered with Fender soon after I took delivery of the instrument, proving that I purchased the instrument in 2025.
This bass has barely been played. The bass is in mint condition and has no marks other than the original factory relic work by Fender Custom Shop. Weight is 8.9lbs with covers (I imagine that removing the covers will drop the weight by about 5oz or so).
It plays beautifully and is strung with LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats, 45-105 (so you can get your James Jamerson on).
The relic treatment on this one is very tastefully done. I find the Journeyman level of relic work to be the sweet spot, with some very characterful ageing.
The only other example I can find of this bass with a Journeyman relic is at Humbucker Music for $4950 plus tax and shipping. I am asking $3500 for this bass, with shipping to the lower 48 US states.
