Are you tired of Precision and Jazz basses? Aching shoulder or back, look no further. Here is the original reissue, late 90’s early 2000 Korean made semi hollow DC bass. Weighs only 6.5 pounds.
This bass has had many modifications. Please do not buy this unless you are comfortable working on instruments or know someone who does. Hoping to sell to a fellow diy enthusiast. Having said that it sets up and is playable as is but is not perfect.
Added middle pickup. Bridge mount screw was doweled and redrilled, starting to break through finish on the back. Tuners upgraded to Graph Tech Ratio. This required reaming original tuner mounting holes. Pickup mounting bracket on the bridge pickup is bent, still functioning as intended however. Various scratches, original pickguard painted black. All pickups wired in series to master volume and stacked tone. I got some help from fellow Talkbass members getting down this wiring scheme. I’ll include two stock, stacked volume/tone pots with matching Danelectro knobs so you can wire it however desired. Dunlop strap locks relocated to better balance the bass. Binding in good shape. Had some high frets but I leveled them/polished. Truss rod functions as intended. Action is about as low as it can get without a shim. I intentionally fed bridge height screws through the top of the bridge as I find you can get a lower action though original design has the bridge plate resting on the screw heads.
All that being said this is a cool, unique bass that has a Music Man like sound. Any questions ask, I like this bass but can’t justify keeping it as this is my third and least played bass.
No returns, warranties or anything implied. Continental USA shipping included. I will ship with neck off to reduce shipping costs.
