Preface: It's making me a little ill to lower the price more on this. Honestly this is every bit as good as a German Stage 1. For now, I am only lowering the price here for my TB friends. Everywhere else that it is listed, it is more expensive.
Here is my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 WPS. It is Korean and has been upgraded with the brass Warwick Bridge ($375) and gold hardware including Hipshot style tuners from Wilkenson that work great (I was just informed Gotoh actually makes these for Wilkenson). This is every bit a Warwick Streamer Stage 1. US Cherry body, Maple neck with Ekanga veneer strips and a wenge board. It just isnt $3500 made in Germany used on Reverb right now.
This bass sounds amazing but unfortunately the added weight of the bridge has pushed this well past the limits of my neck injury. It weighs 10 lbs on the bathroom scale. I have the chance to pick up a used Thumb that is much lighter so I'm trying to move this quickly. There is one scratch on the top horn that I think will buff out pretty easily. I am not good with buffing so I will leave it to the next owner. My local luthier and friend past away over the summer otherwise it would have been already done. I haven't owned this very long. Will come with a Warwick bag. Its a great bass. Like I said, it sounds killer with a huge presence. Almost Alembic like but unmistakenly Warwick. In case you aren't aware, my understanding is that Warwick made basses in Korea for 2 or 3 years. They shipped everything - wood, electronics, hardware , and even employees to Korea for assembly which was overseen by the workers from Germany. The reason they stopped as I have hear, was that the Korean models began to cut into the sales of the German basses so they moved the line back to Germany. Like I said there is a German one on Ebay right now for $3500 used. Its pretty much the same except that one has the composite bridge.
I've owned a lot of Warwicks over the years. This one is phenomenal. Let me know if you have any questions. Local sales are preffered but I can ship it.
TRADES - If you have a cheap NT Thumb that's really light! That would be awesome. Obviously some cash would be needed there. Also would consider other 4 string Warwicks - Streamer, Infinity, other Korean Warwicks. Would love a White Korean Thumb.
PS - I can make a really good deal if you also wanted to get my Spector NS2a. Just PM me!
Thanks for looking!
