Ibanez TR600 Expressionist bass. This was the top of the line model made in the Fujijen factory in Japan. Active pickups that sound great but this is filed under "player grade" and priced with that in mind. There is a crack that appears to be in the finish only by the volume knob. It is not minimal but I am fairly confident is benign. Most is hidden by the pickguard. There is also a finish crack on the back hear the wiring panel. The neck sets up pretty well with standard or low tension strings but the truss rod seems like it might be hitting its max. I am not smart enough to know if you can throw some washers in or if I am just doing something wrong but I want to be very open that if you want to throw high tension flats on this it MAY be an issue. Weighs around 8.5 pounds. Basically with shipping what it is I am pricing this at what I think its worth for the pickups and hardware but it plays completely fine as I have it now. Because of the lower price I would like to ship it with the neck off to save on shipping but if you don't want that we can work something out.
Update: The truss is not maxed out I think its just that the truss nut has been rounded out. But in discovering that apparently there was a crack near the nut and a small piece broke off. Not off of the nut, off the fretboard itself above the nut. Is it fixable? Sure, it can be glued and has no structural load. But at this point everything is what it is. All of it can be repaired or it can be parted out. I lowered the price to be what someone could get for the pickups and hardware. The pickups and pre are great and would be great in another bass or fix it all up and get it going. It would be an amazing bass if repaired. Its not in the cards for me. If no one wants the whole thing I will part it out myself. Would prefer to get it to someone that might get it going again.
