Great example of the best Fender Custom Shop bass ever. Amazing tones from passive pickups. It’s 10lbs but the tone shows it. Mainly playing 4s now so putting some 5s up for sale. Just not being used.

Any particular trades you might be interested in? I used to have this Roscoe Beck V years ago and have always regretted selling it. Hard to find.

Not looking for anything specific. I’ve owned just about everything at one point or another. Some that I regret selling though would be MTD 535, Ken Smith, pre Gibson Tobias, F Bass, Fodera. All the usual suspects

The best of these 5ves for me is the Lakland. I would never sell it but I happened upon an early (1999) that has special meaning to me. I actually prefer the tone of the Lakland Hansen pickups to the old Barts. I just happened to find a special instrument with some history. If it doesn’t sell I won’t cry. The second bass is an Elrick evo 5. These are hand built by Rob out of Chicago. The best way I can describe it is it’s a Ken Smith with concessions to players asking for more tonal variety. ( Ken would have told you you were wrong and shag off). The build quality is the same. I had one before. It was equally amazing but don’t ever get the single coils. Get the humbuckers.

Last bass I have up for sale is a fender Roscoe Beck V. I had a IV years ago that I loved. The passive switching is the best ever. For me the V became a tank. Heavy. Massive neck. But if you want the best sounding passive 5ve this is it.

Well, except it's not a Fender Custom Shop bass, but otherwise...
Valid point. It was not considered a custom shop. I believe it was made by the same people though. Either way. Great bass.
