Beautiful bass, original owner, great condition.
- Weight is 9.2 lbs (kitchen scale)
- Walnut body, satin matte finish
- Walnut neck with purple heart stripe, tung oil finish
- Royal ebony fretboard
- 14" fretboard radius
- Fret dots on top only
- Dunlop strap locks
- Kiesel Ultimate Headless Bass soft case included (but not pictured), also in excellent condition
- 16mm string spacing at bridge
What I love: I love the shape, feel and finish of the neck. I think the dark wood is beautiful. Lots of tone options with the active EQ. Tuning stability is excellent.
Why I'm selling: I purchased this six-string to gain experience with chording, and it's great for that. But, I find myself using the high-C infrequently, and even after a couple of years I don't feel as comfortable navigating the fretboard as I do on a four or five string. Also, I'm spending 90% of my playing time on upright bass these days.
Instrument condition is excellent, 9/10. There are a few scratches and imperfections, but these are for the most part so small that they are hard to see in the photos. You can however see one finish imperfection in the photos, on the front of the instrument near the lower cutaway (looks like a white dot in the photos). Always handled with care, kept in a humidified house.
Shipping within the continental US included. I will ship the bass in the same cardboard box that I received the instrument from Kiesel in. Paypal/Venmo/cash (if local).
Not really interested in trades, but I might be open to discussion if you have a 4-string EUB that you're looking to part with.
Anyone local to the Denver area is welcome to come see the instrument in person. (No pressure!)
