Each pickup can be switched between parallel, single-coil, or series configurations using the two 3-way selectors. This works in both passive and active modes. With each pickup offering three distinct sounds, you get a total of 9 usable sound variations with the blend knob set in the middle.

This bass is absolutely amazing. The tone, the fretwork, the playability, the comfort, the ergonomics! The only reason that I am selling is because I have gone from being a six string player to playing five string basses.
