Up for sale is a 1997 Warwick Thumb 6-string.
I purchased this bass a few weeks ago on Reverb. The previous seller was excellent with communication and everything was exactly as described. No surprises at all. I am only selling because I am specifically searching for a Thumb 6 from the earlier "fat neck" era, and this one has a slimmer neck profile than what I am looking for.
Specs and Features
This bass does not have the thicker D-shaped neck from the earlier "fat neck" era. Instead, it has a more traditional C-shaped profile, similar to what you find on more modern Warwick models. Typical, but that is the only issue for me. I have two other Warwick basses a Thumb 5 from 1999 and Corvette 6 from 2004. Both basses have the ideal neck for me. That is what I am looking for.
Condition
I am listing this as Good condition to be conservative, but it is in solid shape overall.
If I see it, I will continue my search for a specific version of the Thumb 6 with a thicker neck profile and Bubinga body.
Trades
I'm open to trading for another 6-string Warwick from around 1999-2007, but please no broad necks. I'm willing to accept cash in either direction, depending on the model.
The long shots are:
Feel free to reach out with any questions. If interested, we can meet via Zoom or FaceTime, so I can show you the bass.
Shipping
Free shipping CONUS in a Warwick Rockbag. For a little bit more ($80), I can ship it in a Road Runner hard case.
