Details

2013 Gibson Midtown Bass, Transparent Cherry Red. This is a very cool semi-hollow bass suitable for jazz, blues, or country, or really just about anything. I have played this bass with round-wound nickel, flat-wound steel, and nylon-wound strings, so I have run the gamut of sounds I can pull out of it. It currently will ship with nylon-wound strings, a great jazz/country configuration. I put Schaller strap locks on it.

I give it a very good 4 out of 5 rating, moderate play wear, good fret life left, no impacts, no bare wood where it shouldn't be, tuners and electronics in great shape. Just came back from my tech with a fresh set up. Comes with OHSC. Guitar was manufactured in May 2013 in Nashville, TN plant according to serial lookup. Add this to your collection today! Ships to Continental USA

Very cool. Is that a Mahogany body and neck? Do you know the wood for the fretboard? Scale length? Thanks.

I am not the original owner. Here's what I found on Google

The Gibson Midtown Bass is a semi-hollow electric bass introduced by Gibson USA, known for combining the acoustic resonance of a hollowbody with the punch of a solidbody. Built with a chambered mahogany body, maple top, and a full 34-inch scale length, it delivers warm, thumping lows and clear, modern articulation. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Specs & Features

• Body: Chambered mahogany with a flat-carved solid maple top and traditional f-holes.
• Neck: Set mahogany neck with a 34" scale length and a rosewood fingerboard.
• Pickups: Usually configured with a massive ceramic TB Plus humbucker at the neck for warmth, paired with an Alnico II TB mini-humbucker in the bridge for added snap.
• Controls: 3-way pickup selector switch with master volume and master tone controls.
• Hardware: Gibson’s 3-point bridge and Grover tuners for sustain and tuning stability. [1, 4, 5, 6]

Variations and Market
The bass was primarily released in the early 2010s, including the initial Midtown Standard (around 2013) and the Midtown Signature (which debuted in 2014 with a 120th-anniversary inlay and finishes like Gold and Dark Sparkle). [1, 5, 7]
On the used market (such as on Reverb ), these models typically range from $1,200 to $2,300 depending on the condition and exact model year. Across community forums like TalkBass, players praise the Midtown for its unique hybrid tone and striking aesthetics, though users note that semi-hollow bodies can be prone to feedback at extreme volumes.
