The collection purge continues with a killer fretless. This made in Japan Fender jazz bass has a fantastic slim neck and minimal wear for a thirty year old instrument. I've tried to capture the most significant marks in a few pictures below.
A previous owner replaced the electronics and bridge with (in my opinion) terrible options. They also did a medium job with a router to make room for the pots and to make an aftermarket pearloid pickguard fit. I rewired it using Fralin split jazz pickups, CTS pots, a Vishay film cap, and a Switchcraft jack. The bridge has been replaced with a Fender pure vintage 70s.
