Fender Jazz Bass 24 V. These were made in 2007-2008. Some were apparently made in Indonesia, but this one is made in Korea, supposedly at the old Samick factory. Is in fairly decent condition, although I did gig this a fair amount for a few years.

I wasn't really a fan of the original Seymor Duncan Basslines or the Duncan preamp...they were definitely serviceable, but at the time I was playing different gigs in different genres, so I swapped in a Nordstrand 3B-4B (with active/passive switch) preamp and a set of Nordy Big J-Blades (Warm and Wooly winding) and also partially because I had them. When active, can get fairly modern sounding, flip to passive and more traditional Jazz-sounding. These Nordys ran me about $400 alone for the upgrades, if I recall. I have the original pre and pickups if you want them (but why would you, unless for a project). Someone confirmed in a thread about these basses that the pickups are in the 60s position. Bridge can be strung normally or through body (which I have done).

It has been played and has some dents and dings, I purposely took pictures with overhead lights glaring off it a bit to show that this isn't a case queen. There's some minor buckle rash, and minor dent in the lower horn end, and some scratches on the bevel of the bass near the B-string side of the bridge. None of this is visible from more than a few feet away, and is pretty solid for being going on 20 yrs old and being played regularly.

I'll include the specs of the bass off of the Fender site (you have to put KC in front of the serial number if you want to look it up, no one knows why, although the K is probably Korea). One thing I noticed is that it lists the nut width as 1.75", apparently those were the Indonesian line specs. This is one is fairly wide-necked, 2" at nut, 2 5/8" at the 12th and 3"(!) at the 24th. 34" scale length.

It's been a solid bass, but I rarely play it as I have a Sadowsky NYC 5. Hoping it catches someone's eye and finds a new home! It plays pretty nice despite the wider spacing. I also installed Schaller straplocks, will include the strap pieces.

Looking for $700, I'll split shipping CONUS, comes with a Fender gig bag.
