For sale Mosky “Gamma” bass preamp

"Clone" of Aguilar AG preamp
$55.00 $40.00
Location
Illinois, United States

Details

I got this recently in my quest for a simple at-home silent practice solution.

It does all that and more - but I was hoping for stereo pass-through on the Aux input, and this sums to mono (just like my amp heads).

The Mosky Gamma is their take on the Aguilar AG preamp. The Aguilar AG series is often considered Aguilar’s take on solid-state tone; very clean and uncolored.

The footswitch on the left toggles the whole pedal on or off; the footswitch on the right toggles the deep and bright functions: both off, deep or bright, both on.

Like new because it is new - in original box.

Just played through this preamp again and it's really good.
When you factor in price, it's untouchable!

Sure, I prefer the sound of the headphone out of my Genz Benz Streamliner, but I just spent more on new preamp tubes for the Streamliner than this whole pedal.

I don't travel often enough to need a practice setup that fits in a gig bag pocket.
If I did, the Gamma would be on the shortlist.

Heading up to Wisconsin this weekend and will stop at Music Go Round on the way.
If you're interested, please make an offer by Thursday AM - otherwise this pedal might be getting traded.

This pedal will run on 9v, but at 9v input headroom is pretty low.

The DC jack specifies 18v, but I recently tried it with a 12v adapter and that 3v increase cleaned up the input nicely - makes me curious to hear it at 18v…

I’m happy to throw in the 12v adapter at my listed price.

But this pedal sounds way better than $50 has any right to - so I’d rather keep it than drop my price more.

OK…so I recorded the demo, but it’s 7MB, so too large to upload it here.

If you're interested/curious, I can send via PM or email.
