I have here a Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk B hybrid JFET/germanium bass dirty booster that I bought new in June 2026. This is the newer version with the external bias control and the power jack on top.
These don't come up often, and for a good reason. It's unlike any other pedal I've tried. It goes from clean--I wouldn't say transparent--all the way to thick grit with some subtle sparkle in the high mids.
You can always use it as a boost, but I like to use it as an always-on preamp sort of thing.
I've been meaning to try one ever since I saw it on Sean Hurley's board years ago. I finally bit the bullet last month, and it doesn't disappoint. However, I've thrown my old man's hat in the ring and grabbed an H90 for a good price.
The pedal is mint. The double-sided tape you see on the back doesn't leave any residue. It comes with the box and goodies. W&C also offers a lifetime warranty, no receipt required.
