2013 Ernie Ball Sabre Classic for sale… After picking up a 2010 Stingray Classic and going back and forth on what to keep (I initially decided to keep the Sabre and listed the Stingray), I think the Stingray will stay for now. I think…
Sabre Classic! Black with beautiful flamed maple neck. Great condition. Lots of versatility with the 5 position switch and old school two band active pre with humbuckers. The 2 and 4 positions are really cool…one uses the rear HB and half the front HB, and the other uses just the split on the front for a P type tone. D tuner is installed, but I’ll include a new regular tuner I ordered direct from Ernie Ball.
Neck: just incredible looking flame. Comfortable and full feeling profile. Truss wheel turns both ways easily. I have noticed a little rise when looking down the neck around the 5th fret. I have put TI’s and some regular rounds (more tension), and it seems to still remain. I have not had any issues/buzzing, but just want to point that out in full disclosure. Maybe the flamed maple is a little less stable? Not sure. I have regular rounds on her now with no buzzing or issues. Height at the E string 17th fret is a hair below 1/8”.
Also included is two extra pick guards (white, black) to go with the original tort on it. New battery. String mutes look new and work. Original HSC.
$1950 shipped CONUS. Might consider trades for a rosewood P (Fender RI, Nash, etc) or even a 5H Stingray in natural or oxblood, but I have my eye on a specific bass that has caught my eye and prefer outright sale. Worst I can say is no thanks.
