Stingray 5 Special, exc.cond. Bought used on Talkbass and barely used. I think the color is Chopper Blue. Comes with 2 pickguards, original hard shell case, and extra bridge. Great playability and tone on this one. Light weight at just over 8 1/2 pounds.i have built shipping into the cost but if you live near the Phoenix or Flagstaff area I’m willing to meet somewhere in the middle and reduce the price.

Sweet! Can you tell us about the extra bridge, and is it for sale? Thanks!
Hi. The extra bridge was sent to me by Ernie Ball for a different SR5 that had an issue with the saddle screws moving during playing. I never installed as I sold that bass. It is a fairly common complaint about these Stingray Special bridges. I want to keep it with this bass just in case the new owner has any issues with the existing bridge. The former owner used Loc-tite and I haven’t noticed any movement at all

Hi @64jazzbass I have a few newbie questions:

  1. Is this a rosewood fretboard?
  2. What kind of strings are on here?
  3. Will it need a professional setup?

Hi,
Yes, the fretboard is rosewood and actually darker in person than the pics show. I know the strings are Ernie Ball Super Slinky I believe the gages are .40-.125. No, the bass does not need a setup. I’ve done my own for decades now and it is a low to medium low action and there are no neck issues. Hope this helps.
