Up for sale is a rare 2004 Fender Dimension IV Bass, made in Mexico and finished in sunburst. This is the earlier and less common Dimension IV model, not the later single-humbucker Dimension Bass that usually shows up in searches.
This bass has a very modern Fender feel, with a thinner and more contoured body than a traditional Precision Bass, a comfortable Jazz Bass-style neck profile, a sculpted neck heel, and 24 frets. It weighs only 7.5 lbs, making it very comfortable for long sessions or live playing. The nut width measures 1.57”, so it has a fast, familiar Fender feel without being bulky.
The pickup setup is a very versatile P/J layout, currently fitted with Fender American Deluxe pickups, including a noiseless bridge pickup. Combined with the onboard 3-band active EQ, this bass can cover classic Fender-style tones while also getting into more modern active-bass territory. The EQ is tasteful and musical rather than extreme, making it easy to dial in usable sounds quickly.
