Awesome lightweight bass.
I'm getting a Dingwall Effigy soon, which is for sure will make this one obsolete. (at 6x price lol).
Initially I took this and wanted to get it re-finished as I didn't like factory options, but this project was never realized.
This was a warranty replacement from Ibanez, original one had horrible dead spots around frets 5-8 on G string. This one is problem free, and in fact, one of the most acoustically loud basses I've ever played. It's LOUD unplugged.
Frets are leveled and it can take stupid-low action.
Fully shielded inside with copper tape, both main cavity and under pickups.
As you may know QC on EHB line is not very consistent, well at least you know you are not getting a lemon this time ;-)
Beautiful figuring on the neck.
I also installed japanese AllParts knobs, but original ones are included as well.
Couple of small dings and a belt rash, nothing too bad. 2 on lower horn towards player body, 1 on the back (buckle rush) and near rear strap button probably caused by strap itself.
Overall body wood and finish is quite soft, so expect it to ding easier than typical poly finish.
Fresh Dingwall SS strings installed, best multi scale strings IMO.
Weights under 8lb, comes with a gig bag and probably a Couch Strap (car safety belt style) if I can find it.
