Can you share more information on the Hi Gain mod?
Have a D2 myself and was not familiar with any 3LA Mods.

it's a mod directly by Nathan that could be made via special request during the order process a few years back. My understanding of the mod is that it is a normal modern 2025 Doom 2 circuit but replaces the standard gain pot with a 1M pot to deliver up to 10 times the gain of the regular Doom 2 circuit, resulting in a more aggressive, abrasive, and heavily saturated tone when turned up. It still can do all the regular Doom 2 gain sounds but has a lot more room for fuzz on there. Sounds incredible on bass because of the frequency cutoff keeping the low end but with great fuzzy mids and highs
