Here is a gorgeous bass. I bought it around five years ago from a bassist here in Philly who had bought it from noted luthier Bill Merchant. The bass came to Bill from the great Gary Peacock (see included document) and was appraised in 2016 at 14K.
I am selling the bass to finance another instrument. The bass has an even and refined sound, pizz and arco, but is probably best suited for jazz. Check out the video below.
The bass is currently on consignment at Finlay/ Gage (I'm not sure which location- that is up to them) and can be played by visiting the shop.
