Up for your consideration is my St Germaine Bustard 5 string in as-new, un-played condition.
First, let's cover the specs:
Bustard Custom Series 5 String - Set Neck.
33" scale.
19mm string spacing at the bridge.
45mm nut width - flattened C neck profile.
Roasted Ash body, Maple pinstripe, and Wenge accent line.
5A Birdseye Maple top.
5 piece neck - hard Maple and Wenge - dual action truss rob with carbon fiber reinforcement.
Mun Ebony fretboard- 24 frets.
Matching headstock to top.
MJS dual coil pickups (2) under single piece ebony ramp, with parallel / single coil / series coil switches.
Graph Tech Ghost Piezo saddle pickups.
Bartolini AGMPB magnetic / piezo buffer with blend control.
Trickfish Flexcore 4 band preamp with switches for lo-mid and hi-mid control.
Hipshot A bridge.

There is a bit of lore behind this bass. Long story short, after a 16 month build process UPS managed to lose this bass in transit. Once the bass was declared lost, I made a purchase of a used Fodera from a friend as a replacement for this one as I just didn't have the time for Geoff to build a new one. Some time later out of nowhere, UPS found the St. Germaine and finally delivered it to me.
As an in-recovery former bass hoarder (my collection neared 30 at one point), I have a strict self imposed rule to only keep instruments on hand that get played on a regular basis, which seems to be around 5. Unfortunately, this one just isn't getting the play time that it's Fodera counterpart is getting so I am offering it up here to someone who will get some use out of it.
Play-ability is excellent and the tone is flexible and powerful. The piezo system adds a totally different dimension to the tone and the mag pickups can be blended out completely for a 100% acoustic sound. This would absolutely be a keeper bass if I could justify it! If you own or have played a St. Germaine, you know how well these perform. There are several TB'ers here that can vouch for the quality of Geoff's work.
As you can see, the control layout is expansive and can look intimidating. I have included a printout of the controls and their functions in the pictures below.
Again, this bass is in AS NEW condition - meaning there are no dings, scratches, or any other cosmetic or functional defects of any kind. The bass is currently strung B-G, but I can string it E-C before shipping if you like. Action is set low and is buzz-free.
Price includes UPS ground shipping to anywhere in the the lower 48 states. I will ship air freight or overnight if you want to cover the difference in shipping costs.
