This is my second and last attempt to hang on to a Bongo 6 string. I have had 5 lower back surgeries in the past decade and the weight of this one, like most of them, is just too heavy for me, at around 10.6 pounds.
I love everything about this bass except the weight. The neck is wonderful, no dive. The color is my favorite color. The four-band preamp is exceptional. The fact that it has both a single coil pickup at the neck and the standard MM humbucker at the bridge makes it so much more versatile than either the HH or the H versions. In fact, one of the reasons I wanted this one was because of the HS configuration. They are hard to come by and I was overjoyed to find one.
I tried my best - bought a $100 Slinger strap, and a buddy of mine gave me a strap he made to help, but it is just flat out too heavy for me. Let me know if you want the Slinger strap as I have no use for it.
The bass is in as close to perfect condition as it can be. No scratches or marks, no dents or chips.
The ONLY modification to the bass that I can determine is the clear pickguard (added by the previous owner) and Dunlop Straploks (installed by me).
Plus it comes with the official hard shell case. Let me know if you want pictures of the case, but it is in very good condition, not beat up or anything.
I've tried to price this one fairly. Significantly less than I paid for it, that's for sure.
I will consider REASONABLE offers, but low ball offers will be rejected immediately. I would like to sell it of course, but I am not desperate.
