Beautiful classic style Hofner with minor hardware and electronic upgrades-
This is a player, has plenty of wear from normal usage and a handful of finish scratches, but nothing structural or functional. Has one larger (~1cm) finish chip off the neck pickup. Lightweight but very sturdy. Following mods have been made:
- standard bridge was replaced with an archtop style rosewood bridge (for the more "woody" tone), but I can include the standard hofner bridge ON REQUEST.
- Gretsch-style electronics harness for more precise control with US spec parts using Bourns and Switchcraft (See photo for controls description)
- Tuning machines were replaced with deluxe Grover Sta-tite 18:1 tuners for smoother function (thanks TB!)
Setup with fresh Labella Tapewound strings which covers everything from motown to mr. kite.
No way to ship this easily at the current moment due to the size but I am willing to meet in the NYC tri state area if you are interested, local pickup prioritized.
