For sale here is a slightly used set of Ritter's "Black Knight" strings. They're not on the website (special order item I think), but they're basically Jens' Swordsteel strings with a black coating (like those DR Black Beauty strings). Same gauges, but they aren't tapered at the bridge end like the Swordsteels.
It's a 5-string set, and was on my Ken Lawrence for about a week or two, with not too much use. Probably one of the best sounding sets of strings I've had on that bass, for a modern fingerstyle tone. But it took about 6 weeks from when I ordered to get them, and my tastes changed since then I guess and now I'm not so much into the look of black strings (on this bass anyways). The next set of strings I buy will definatly be the regular Swordsteels
I've got the original packaging and the cool note that Jens includes with his strings. Cost me about $70 with shipping. I'll sell 'em for $45 (shipped). Or I would consider trades for TI Jazz Flats or Acousticores (4, 5, or 6-string - any age)
