Still up for grabs! Im intersted mainly in trading or selling for/towards a Ric or an american deluxe jazz of similiar shape. Preferably for the Ric. Im dying to try one and there isnt a dealer anywhere even remotely close to me.
Boy, MM sure knows how to present a neck! Nice figuring! Jeez, if I wasn't already offing an SR4 and had some dough to throw at it, I'd be interested! Good luck, John!
Thank you sir!! Ive owned a couple of sterlings and this one has the best feeling neck out of all of them Ive ever played. I also like the fact that the neck plate is recessed into the body. I think they stoped doing that in 97 or so.
Yes but not alot. The bridge is shorter so you can no longer add the mute assembly. They now have plastic flip top battery covers, and the neck plate is no longer recessed into the body. Other than that there pretty much the same.
Mine has the recessed neck plate, the bridge is the long one and it has the flip top battery cover?

All of the changes didnt happen at one time. For instance the bridge lost the mutes first they just put for allen bolts where the thumbscrews were and you could buy mute kits seperately if you wanted. Then eventually they just completely chopped that section of the bridge off. They later stopped recessing the neckplates from what I understand because it was difficult to paint. As far as when they started using the fliptop battery compartments, Im not sure.
