Hi Folks,
I'm finally willing to part with my Squire CIJ Bullet Bass.

Stats.
-Squire "by Fender" Bullet Bass
-1983 model
-34" scale
-Solid body. Probably Alder. (not plywood like many of the MIK and Vietnamese Squires)
-One piece 51' P style maple neck (telebass neck)
-Some nicks, but nothing major.
-Mini PBass style pickup (same as on Mustang basses.)

Really a very well made, nice playing, good sounding bass but I already have a pbass, I need the $ for other projects. Very loud acoustically, and I had planned on installing a Darkstar, but it seemed a shame to cut into her. Great chance to get "Crafted In Japan" quality at a bargain price.

Interesting note: the same bass was produced a year earlier in, also in Japan, but labeled as "Fender".

$300 and I'll split shipping costs to the lower 48.
Feel free to PM me with questions.

Interested. Any issues with the neck ? (truss rod working, action, any nicks on the neck, fret buzz). Thanks

No issues with the truss rod, no fret buzz, I have adjusted the action is set to a medium setting, though there seems to be no reason someone couldn't set it lower. Not much wear on the frets, no major imperfections with the back of the neck either. On the headstock, you can see a small nick just below "fender".

Summary: No "issues", but I will check to see if there are any other minor imperfections with the neck and get back to you.

The truss rod adjusts from the neck heel, but under the PG there is already a route (original, not aftermarket) so you don't have to take the neck off to adjust the neck relief.

I'm interested, This is a long scale bass right? Any interest in partial Trade/Cash?
Thanks

Yep, it's a full scale 34", there were short scales made also, but this is not one of them.

I really need the cash to fund a set of Darkstar Pickups.
So if you have a set I would trade for them or a partial trade for one.

I'l consider other offers, but basically I need Cash or Darkstars.

After carefull consideration, I thought of one more trade possiblity. I would consider one of the single pup Artcore semihollow basses, preferably the singlecut with case, but who knows...

, any nicks on the neck, . Thanks

I checked the neck again last night. There is some wear on the neck below the last fret where the neck heel ends where the strings have worn on the finish.

Other than that, you can't see them, but on the back of the neck, behind the 2nd and 5th fretts you can just feel a little imperfections (dent?) in the finish.

Overall, the neck, and the bass as a whole are in great shape, even before considering the fact that it's a 24 year old instrument.

Hope this helps.
