After the Gig epifany... I realize I have too much gear. No alcohol, no drugs... I'm "simplifying

I know this is stupid and I may really be making a mistake

DB-728 $1100-#157 with bananna plug. ALWAYS in shockmount case. Super awesome amp and LOUD. Just don't need that much volume.

DB-359-$1100- I'm still debating on this one.... Call this a feeler SOLD

Howdy. I'm very interested but would like to hear a little more about the DB359. Are you original owner? If not, what's the history? Can you post a pic(s)? What tubes are in it and how much life left, if you know? Thanks mucho, Dman

working on pics now... I am the original owner and have owned it since 2003. I put new aguilar power tubes in less than a month ago. 2nd tube change since I have owned it. It has always been racked. Working on pics now...

How does this compare with the DB-680? Does if have the same features? I just bought a tube power amp but need a new preamp. For what I have seen the DB-680s going for, this would almost be my better deal.

I actually own both the 680 and the 359. The 359 has fewer features and is more similar to the DB 750 in layout. I use the 680/728 and it is a monster. Two different animals. The 680 is SUPER clean and detailed with warmth. The DB359 is hyper warm and lush. Depending on what tube power amp you have and what tone you are trying to get either option could work.

I currently have a VHT 2902 tube power amp and an AMpeg SVP Pro preamp. I want something that is more warm sounding. The 680 has a lot of the features that I am looking for, all in 2U.
