Let me first say, I really, really, REALLY do not want to sell this bass, but am currently in debt to a mate of mine as well as the cursed credit card, so this has just got to go.
Up for sale is my beloved TBC (The Bass Company) AP-500M. These basses were recently being blown out on Ebay in the States for clearance prices. After a long screwaround with the company, I managed to get my hands on one of these super cool basses! When I first got it I was amazed by how well it setup, the playability is astounding and the neck is super fast! Not only that, the tone is amazing! The stock electronics were pretty rubbish so I ripped them out and wired it up passive with a tone control and it sounds even better than before! I also fixed up the shielding so it's dead quiet!
Here are the specs;
Chambered Swamp Ash Body
Swamp Ash Inlaid faux pickguard (dyed Red)
Maple 1 Piece Neck
Pau-Ferro Fretboard (22 Frets)
TBC Machined Bridge (Nickel)
TBC Tuners (Nickel)
TBC MM Pickup (hardwired in Series)
Passive Electronics (Volume, Tone (.047 Cap), Switchcraft Jack)
And a soundclip I made after the modifications (Groove in the low register, Solo in the high register);
http://media.putfile.com/TBC-Jam
And finally some pics, some of which are progress pics of the mods I made;
This is open to Australian buyers. I would really prefer to sell locally, so local interest will get top priority, but if it gets no love then I'd be willing to post to other States.
Price is $650 which includes a durable soft/hard case as well as the original TBC adjustment tools.
I'm quite happy for any Brisbanites to come around and have a bash if they're interested.
Cheers.
