***CLOSED*** I have decided to get another Trace Cab locally and I am selling this to a local store for over 800.00. Thanks for the interest. I am leaving to sell this at 11AM Eastern. I will check before I leave if someone wants to buy it outright. Thanks.

Up for grabs is a Mesa Boogie Venture head in a custom built Mesa Enclosure. The front Mesa Logo comes off to reveal an additional two rack spaces. I bought this and I don't play out much. I have never gigged out with it. This head is the same as the Mesa M-Pulse 600 and the serial is NUMBER 397 (Warranty until late 2009). This head without enclosure sells for 1300.00 and Mesa Charges roughly 200.00 for Enclosure. I have extra pics available for email if interested. I bought a cheaper head that suits my needs and this needs a good home. This amp is in great shape with just a little bit of scuffing on ONE of the EQ knobs. There are no tears or rips in the tolex.

I almost always require Paypal payments and can meet up with anyone in the DC/MD/VA area. 875.00 and I front the shipping costs if you are not local. Due to gas prices local pickup will be the same price.**MAKE A CASH OR TRADE OFFER** What I like about the head is that most Mesa bass head in a rack are bottom mount and the way this on is built it kinda looks like an SVT. It is a full size enclosure.

I will meet up with anyone within a 100 mile radius of zip 25425. Feel free to ask any questions.

Here are the specs:

Mesa’s hybrid Simul-State power amp design uses a 12AX7 tube to replace the solid-state driver circuit typically used in transistor power amps. This extends the tube chain (and the tube-influenced tone) as far as possible. “Simul-State” means the M-Pulse 600’s 12 MOSFET output transistors are tube-driven. The tube preamp features a unique multi-stage tone control circuit in which the passive MID control is isolated in a stage before the active BASS and TREBLE controls. The mid circuit is based on the classic Fender-style tone control network used in Alembic, Kern, and other tube preamps. The BASS and TREBLE controls use the Baxandall circuit first seen in ’50s-era Ampeg amps and hi-fi preamps. Unlike the Fender-style circuit, Baxandall tone controls produce a flat frequency response when the knobs are pointing straight up. The compressor circuit is designed around the low-distortion, low-noise THAT 4301P Analog Engine integrated circuit. This studio-grade design provides a variable THRESHOLD control and compression RATIO adjustable from 1:1 to infinity.

Mesa doesn't spec this as being a 2 ohm safe head, that I can see on their web site specs...are you sure about that?
Pretty kewl setup...

The Venture has the 2Ohm rating on the back of the head. I can shoot a close up if you like. If you check out some mag reviews they also ran the setup as 2ohm safely. The Big Block 750 has/had issues with a 2ohm load but this one has been tested safe. There was a topic on here user advising they were running this head @ 2 with zero problems.

From another topic on here:

Ran my Mpulse 600 on a hot summer day for about 12ish hours outside in the sun at 2.67 ohms without a hiccup.

One last run at this... offer with 12's....

Unless you have a cool tube head (440+, SVT etc within the last 5 years of age) heads are out of the ballgame right now for trades. I spent a good 3 hours with my SWR over the past two days trying to find a reason to hate it and I couldn't. With that being said I would LOVE some SWR cabs in trade or any higher end basses or any brand cabs. I have some 12's from another TB'er on the trading block right now and wil make my decision tomorrow.
