These are basically Peavey's early 80's answers to the Precision and Jazz Bass. The Fury is very P like, with a similar neck profile, with one Super Ferrite pickup mounted at an angle to mimic the string coverage of a P pickup. The Foundation is pretty much identical to a Jazz Bass, very thin neck, two single coil pickups. The Super Ferrite pickups are high output and are pretty full range. The Foundation sounds like a beefed up Jazz and the Fury is very similar to a P, but with a very strong high mid presence that really cuts through a mix.
The Foundation has a few more dings and a little bit more belt buckle rash on the rear, it appears who ever had this bass before wore extremely low. The finish is an uncommon Inca Gold and is a metallic finish and it hides the numerous tiny pings on the finish very well. According to the documentation I could find, painted Foundations from this period were maple bodies. No case or gig bag, $200 shipped in the CONUSA.
The Fury is SOLD! with some minor belt buckle scratching on the back and typical pickguard scratches. It is an extremely lightweight, Southern Ash bodied bass. Original style Dunlop Straplocks are installed and it comes with the original Peavey case that has been relined with felt in place of the original foam. $200 shipped in the CONUSA.
