Details

Hey.. I promised myself I would not do this, but I'm putting two of my three basses up on the block. First up is a Warwick Custom Shop Thumb bass.
Mahogany/Purpleheart Body
Ovangkol Neck/Wenge fingerboard
32" scale
Mec J pickups/Active elec (bass and treble boost/cut)
Special pickup placement
Warwick Strap Locks

This is not a factory assembled Warwick you buy at Musician's Friend. This is a Custom Shop Warwick that is the nicest warwick I have played. The neck is soooo fast and smooth. The fretwork is impeccable and the tone is crazy good. I ordered it back in July, received it late November. It is in the same, if not better condition than when I received it. It has been waxed every Sunday and after each time I've played as recommended in the Warwick User's Manual. Includes RockBag, Complete user's kit, Certificate of authenticity and extra can of wax. I paid $2700 back at the end of November.
$2050 shipped or best offer

Next, is a Lakland Skyline DJ4.... I've recently decided to take this off of the market. I have one with black blocks coming in in august, but I love this one and I'll take up an extra job or two to afford em all. And maybe install my darkstars into one of the two. Sorry people!

Fine.. willing to listen to trade offers

Thanks!
Evan

PM replied. Go here for info on my bass directly from Warwick Germany: http://warwick.de/modules/custom_shop/NewsCustomShop.php?newsID=1601&modell=Thumb&page=0&cl=EN
I've been asked about string spacing on the warwick, here is the reply I wrote:
"I'm not exactly sure where to measure these things..
The nut width is 1.5 inches..
string spacing at bridge: .75" (I did from core to core of each string)
Neck thickness at 1st fret: seems to be .75"
at 12th fret: just about 1"
I tried to be as accurate as possible. I feel confident about the string spacing and nut width, the neck thickness could be +/- .03 Since I'm not sure how to get as accurate as possible. It should be good though.
From the Warwick site on their basic 34" thumb model
nut width: 1.49606 in
neck at 1st fret: 0.826771 in
neck at 12th fret: 0.984251 in"

PM me if you want a 5MB zip file of uneditted pictures of the Warwick

Hey, get a 32" and have fun with it. everything is that much easier!
The DJ is off of the market I can't afford to keep it, but I'm going to anyway!
The 'Wick is going though.. someone find it a loving home!

aaah,geez,
I actually have a 32" thumb on my GAS list! aaugh!
trying to save for Japan, buying a bass there,
and then THIS has to pop up?
thumbs seem long in the neck to me, 1st pos. feels far to me, so a 32" would be ideal!

hoo boy:crying:

japan will always be there. you won't find a 'wick thumb like this again. Do it! It's a local deal too (relatively).

I've done this once before (it's my second attempt at selling the bass), but I'm taking it down.. again. I don't play it much, and I need the money, but I am attached to it. You can always PM me with an offer in the future, but it's just too nice of a bass.
It's love.
