For Sale, a Spector 5 string gloss finish Rebop sold new on June 26, 2006. I bought this with wiring issues and took the opportunity to just gut it and really do what the factory should have done.
All the HZ pickups and tone pump are gone.
At the neck pickup is an EMG 40DC, at the bridge pickup is an EMG 40CS, and the control package is an EMG BQC system. Volume, pan between pickups, stacked bass and treble, stacked mid control and mid sweep, and internal dip switch controls for the level of treble you prefer. This is the most versatile preamp made by EMG and you can dial about any tone you want. Punchy with the bolt on and light weight for playing all night. 8# 5 oz by my scale, which makes it about two+ pounds lighter than my previous neck thru Euro.
Wired for 18 volts so plenty of headroom. Brand new Sadowsky black label nickel strings with the grey wrap at the tuners. The bass is in overall very nice shape with a couple of marks on the back from buttons if you turn it to the light just right. The headstock has a couple of marks from what looks like where strings were drug across while installing. They were there when I got it. From three feet away you can't see them. Front of body is unmarked. I can't see any nicks, marks, or any signs of wear on the neck itself, perfect. Satin finish and great feel. The body is the glossy finish instead of the natural oil which will hold up better over time. A deep amber color with nice flame on the front.
The bass ships in a Spector logo custom hard shell case. The case has a few marks on it as it should by now. Nothing major as it has been slid in and out of a car I suppose. I have never had this out on a gig myself.
The bass will ship with the original strap buttons instead of the straplocks as shown.
I have a NS JH5 I got for Christmas which is virtually just like this so having two of the same thing is sort of redundant. I will not be able to ship the bass until Saturday of this week unless it were to sell quick today so please be aware of that. I prefer a USPS money order or Cashiers check, both of which will have to clear. If you must use Paypal, pm me and perhaps we can work something out via E check or something.
I will consider shipping internationally to certain countries. Send me a PM and we can discuss.
This is a great lightweight Spector that has all the right stuff electronically to make someone a great bass for years to come.
$750 plus shipping. No trades, just straight sale.
Thanks for looking!
