I have a used but near perfect condition MTD Z6. I really love this bass but after starting out on a 5 string and then moving to a 6, I really believe a 5 is where I'm the most comfortable at. I got this in a trade from fellow talkbass member santucci. Its in perfect condition. I'll look again and look for any crashes but just from checking yesterday there weren't any. The only change I did was install a bart pre. I'm not sure if Im going to leaving that in or put the stock pre back in. It's really up to the buyer. It'll will come with a hard case. For an outright sell I'll let it go for $950 plus shipping. Feel free to send me offers. For trade, Im looking for a 5 string MTD Z5. I may consider other basses like maybe a 5 string Cirrus. This bass is also posted at my job and church so it could go quick.

Price of bass dropped to $800 plus shipping or best offers. I got my eye on a very nice used 5 string. I love this MTD but i rarely use the C string, or in my case since I tune to flats, the B string. For instance today in church service I played the whole service without touching the C string. Well except for when I was just doodling around playing chords but thats all.

Well I personally haven't notice a balance problem because I use a wide strap and I where My bass sort of high. But I've notice that sometimes when sitting in a certain position and not having your hand on the bass like you're playing that if will neck dive a little. That was when I first got the bass and hadn't adjusted the strap yet. But to sum it up I guess you can say it has a lil neck dive depending on how you where it. I've never noticed it standing and playing though.

Can you please say a few words about the balance on this Z6? I have heard some complaints and I am somewhat concerned about how these basses hang on a strap.

Still available?

Thank you.

I have a Z6 and have never experienced any intense neck dive. it is well constructed, even for a Korean made instrument. The neck is the most comfortable 6 string neck you'll find, as it gets actually thinner in the upper register. The neck floats right where you want it to, so I would really not worry about neck dive.
