Details

OK, I love this thing, but just can't justify keeping it any longer, as I don't ever gig with it.

Orange top, maple fingerboard, black pickguard.

The bass is in excellent condition, there is one small flaw in the formica (?) covering on the side near the upper cutaway where it was chipped off and glued back in. Otherwise, essentially unplayed.

$900 price includes UPS ground shipping (within continental US only - if you're outside the US, PM for shipping costs) and good quality single gigbag. Not interested in trades.

...I know I'm gonna kick myself for parting with this one...

Just a bump to inform anyone who wouldn't know Gard. He is, IMO, one of the finest guys on TB (been a member for numerous years and shared a huge load of posts, threads, opinions, etc. He's worth all the trust you can imagine.

Good luck for your sale, Gard !

Dude.. you are killing me. If this was a 4-string, it'd be on its way to me by now.

Man up, join the big boys that make the big noise, you know you need a 5!

;)

...how's things bro, haven't talked in far too long...hope all is well with Gabe & the missus!

Shot of the repair on the face of the instrument, and a bonus that shows it next to my matching Honda Element (I'm really gonna miss this bass...):

Come with a case? Is there a site with stock photos of these basses (in this color) somewhere? Seems Reverend doesn't have basses on their site anymore...discontinue them or something? Just trying to get a grasp on what color this really is as it looks different in every one of your photos.

haha, I'm a dope. I just recently heard a friend of mine who plays with Steve Fee using one and loved the sound and how it played. I admit that was my first encounter with one actually being played and my first chance to play one. Had no idea they didn't do basses anymore.

What's the purpose/function of the metal piece on the lower bout of the bodies on the 'Fishes?

As for the gig bag part, it's early in the morning still... (c; Would one be able to find a new hard case for these with their odd shape? I did find the orange one on the archive at Reverend, but wondered if it was the same orange. Also, what's the back of this one like? Some of the Reverend basses had some sort of textured finish in the back of the body, did they not? Any sound clips of this or recordings it can be heard on?

Serial number = 2006 according to Reverend??? Stopped making 4 years ago...it's 2008...doesn't compute! Is this one of those "found enough parts to make new ones" models they did?
