I've run this amp a bunch, and like it very well...but if you know me, you know I flips stuff pretty regular.
So, F/S, Mesa M-Pulse 600 and super spiffy Mesa Head Case.
Amp is loud, loud, loud and does clean and tubey very well depending how you set her up.
Mucho great tone can be had straight from the bass/mid/treble section, the wide ranging para eq adds nicely to that, or can be used to dial in many different basses and cabs, troubleshoot cranky rooms, etc.
The DI can be pre or post: I use post to send all the creamy mesa goodness direct to the board.
The onboard comp limiter is very nice to use-smooth!
Comes with a foot pedal to actuate eq (use it like a solo setting!), mute, trun comp off/on, and to actuate "solo vlume,' an additional gain stage.
I initially had her in a gator gig bag; she ran a tad warm at 2 ohms this way...never went into thermal protect, I just didn't care for it. Enter the Mesa Head Case: problem solved. Runs nicely at 2.67 and 2 ohms now.
