I aquired this bass from a fellow TBer. I received the bass, played last night and thought well the reason I wanted to trade my Fodera 5 was to go back to 6. So I thought I would post another ad to see where it goes with this one. The bass is a absolute dream to play. It plays with mucho, mucho ease. The bass is a player's bass I had a Fodera that was a show piece, well with this one you get the best of both worlds. if CrashClint don't mind I was over his house and he and I was counting all of the basses we have accumulated over the years the count was about 20-30 plus, we have has from exibition grade tops, to exotics, to solid and this one she actually liked. That say a great deal to me coming from a wife in all respect (for those of you that have significant others you understand) so I guess you can say it is sleek and sexy!! I currently have it strung with DR Black Beauties string of choice, those actually change the appearence and they tone down the high output of the EMG's (for you jazz players) without losing any quality. If you like Victor's tone you would love this bass!! I am very picky about my basses so I try to give any flaws I notice. The only flaw is a tiny, tiny, hair-like scratch in the finish below the p-pup it is 100% un-noticeable if the sunlight don't hit it directly from any distance. The rest of the bass mint with do dings, bumps of any sort. For those that saw my 5 this one is very compatible cosmetically.

The Specs:
34" scale
24 frets
Flammed Top w/matching headstock
Mahogony Body
Rosewood fretboard (set neck)
Pearl Inlays (double on the 12th and 24th fret, and the "Butterfly")
Gold Hardware (bridge, tunners, input jack, strap lock hole)
EMG P/J pups
Mike Pope 18v pre

As for outright sell I am looking to get between $4.5-$5k neg. These basses new go for anywhere between $7-$8K with wait time. You can get this bass in mint, mint condition for half the price. I will entertain trades w/cash my way providing the value of your bass. As for trades Roscoes will most certainly be top priority. I am open to other basses for I always like to try new things. i am a fair guy and would love to be treated the same. I will send pics upon request. I am having trouble posting here? I just traded my Fodera 5. Here is another great Fodera waiting to go to someone's home. Thanks for you interest. God Bless!!

Yeah, I got a chance to play this bass yesterday. It plays, sounds and looks great. I was really surprised how good this bass sounded in the passive mode, especially the finger tone.

The EMG pickups provide some nice punch with sweet slap tones, I can see why Vic uses this bass for his slap. The neck is nice and slim, kind of like playing a jazz neck.

Just wanted to say this. I helped my friend out on this trade and smpugh723 was great to deal with. No worries with this bro.
I know this bass well and it's truly in mint (could pass as new or display) condition. Plays effortlessly and sounds superb.

Thank You for your comment. I am human with a great deal of basses yes it is Flammed, not quilt I will revise. My mistake. If you are interested in the bass I can send you pics, as stated in the text I am having diffculty uploading mine here. These pics are from the previous owner. I have re-strung the bass with Black Beauties as Crash stated. FFR if you purchase this bass I can't tell you how to string the bass right? If you like the bass, and obviously I did, you can always re-string; like I did. That's a matter of opinion. Like string choice, action, spacing, ect... I don't know the reason for that much string on the tuners it was not a problem for me. However you can purchase the bass and set-up the way you want if you don't approve the way I have it now.

God Bless!!
Sorry I am located in NC

Im not doggin you or anything like that, just saw it and was like hrmm...

Its a beautiful bass... If I had the $ I would snatch it up from you in a minute.
