SOLD! I just bought this on ebay and it is a great bass, but I have over-extended myself a bit financially... so it's up for grabs for just under what I paid; $2150 shipped to CONUS only. I'd prefer not to do paypal to save the fees. Money order or cashiers check preferred.

Note: the pics and text are from the ebay seller; they are as good and as accurate as any I could provide. It's got a cool Pino Palladino look to it.

1982 Fender Precision Bass. USA Vintage series reissue of a 1957 Precision bass. This is the first year production of Fenders Vintage series instruments made in the Fullerton plant. 100% Original, Very Rare fiesta red nitrocellulose paint. Beautifully ambered maple neck. Very light weight (Weighs just a tad over 8lbs on my bathroom scale). Vitrually no Fret wear. Chrome has some minor pitting. Paint has small bumps and bruises that occured from normal playing..no abuse here at all. Very low production serial number V008081. Neck Date 12-15-82. Potentiometers dated to 1982 ( CTS pot code R1378227). Original pickups with raised "A" String pole pieces. Electronics work great and the tone is to die for. Neck is straight and Truss rod adjusts in both directions. This instrument looks and plays great. You will not be dissapointed. Instrument will ship in its original Tweed hardshell case; case is well worn but in good structural shape.
