Hey all, I have an Aguilar DB728 400 watt tube poweramp that I'm not using. This sounds amazing, and is very loud with all the tube goodness you'll ever want. I'm addicted to my DB750, so I havn't been using this at all and it's much too nice an amp to be sitting around unused. I'm asking $1450 and this will have to be a local sale, I'm not ready to ship this. I'm in the Pacific Northwest/Vancouver BC area. Thanks!

I'll also do trades (+$$) for an Avalon U5, a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0, a Demeter Compulator, tolex covered Bergantino NV series cabs, or E-H Micro POG.

I don't know why people don't fall over each for these. I've had one for about 6 years and can't see myself ever selling it. As matter of fact I'd by this one if I could afford to own two. I've A/B'd mine with about ten other heads nothing even comes close.

I've often wondered this, can you just plug straight into the amp with a bass and play? I never had to adjust the EQ on my 359 at any gig, but I wasn't down with the weight to power ratio.

As long as your bass has enough gain you can, assuming you're happy with the unfiltered tone of your bass. This idea had great appeal for me because I love the idea of having one knob (volume) and being able to get a killer tone, but I prefer passive basses so I need to use some pedals or an outboard pre to get away with this for the signal boost into the 728.
