I wanted to get this up for sale before I changed my mind...

I have for sale a brand new Sadowsky UV-70 4 string in a very cool (and unique) vintage Sonic Blue finish. I just bought this new a couple of weeks ago and it has never left my house. It is in absolutely mint condition and comes with the standard Sadowsky lightweight case and Vintage Tone Control (VTC). I replaced the stock white pickguard with a new white pearloid Sadowsky replacement guard…and both guards will be included.

For those of you not familiar with these basses, the Sadowsky Ultra-Vintage '70s Metro basses feature a full-size body, bridge pickup in '70s location (about 1/2" closer to the bridge), and a fingerboard with blocks and binding. This model has an alder body and a rosewood board with white blocks and binding.

Why am I selling this you ask? My original thought was to buy the Sadowsky and sell my ’71 Jazz, but after playing them side-by-side, I’ve decided to stick with the original. The neck on my ’71 is just too good. I realize I’m going to lose some money on this deal, but it’s going to be a great deal for someone.

Price is $1999 + shipping payable through PayPal or a US Postal Money Order. Just PM me or shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] for a shipping quote, or if you have any additional questions.

The only trade I may consider would be for a mid to late 70's Rickenbacker 4001 in great condition (or a newer 4001 C64). I'd consider any color, except Jet-Glo.

For the time being I have attached a picture from the dealer I purchased it from (taken with the original pickguard). I will take some additional pics tonight and get them posted.

Thanks for looking!

Rob....

Good luck with the Powerball...I'm rootin' for you!

This bass weighs in a little under 10 lbs on my ever-so-accurate bathroom scale.

Just as a note to potential buyers....the picture shows the bass with Dunlop Strap Lock buttons. I added these and I'm planning on putting the original Sadowsky strap buttons back on when it sells.

Absolutely beautiful. I have one in Transparent White, which I love. If I didn't have that one, I'd be frantically selling things off to grab this one. Good luck!

Great color, my NYC is that color and headstock. I just wish they offered blocks on a NYC. Now I know what it would look like with a pearl PG.
Good luck with the sale.
