FS :: Peavey Mark VI Head w/ 410T Cabinet(LOCAL ONLY)

This is your standard late 80s early 90s Peavey rig that's served me very well. I have 2 other stage worthy rigs (GBE600 and a Tube rig) so I just can't justify ANOTHER backup rig. The head has a brand new power transformer (new Peavey replacement part) that was installed about 3 months ago by Protech in Rockville MD (authorized Peavey service shop) for about $150. I KNEW when I had it repaired that I was losing money, but I just wanted to let everyone here know what the deal is.

This is a very under appreciated head that will do 400W @ 2ohms and 250W @ 4ohms. The 4x10 cabinet (4ohms) sounds as solid as the day it was built and handles a low B like it's nothing. The cabinet has high quality casters mounted and has your normal nicks and scratches, but nothing bad at all. I will NOT ship this setup as the cab probably weighs 60# on its own. I would however be willing to meet somewhere around the NoVA area if that helps. I know I'm leaving off TONS of details here, so if you've got questions, feel free to ask them!

If I split this up (the head would have to sell first) I would be asking $150 ($175 shipped CONUS) for the head and $250 for the cabinet (not interested in shipping).

Thanks for looking!

Bump for updated picture. This is an older pic (the 2 older Ibanez are long gone) but it does give you exactly what you're looking at. I am willing to entertain offers, but I'm looking to fund an Aguilar DB112 so unless THAT's the trade bait, I'm really not looking for trades. The only other thing that might entice me is a DB pickup/preamp combination. Thanks for looking!

Oh, Man. I have the third of that trio that Ibanez offered that year--- looks like those are the Musician and the Studio. I have an '81 Roadster. Those would have completed my collection!

Some people talk about tube watts vs. solid state watts. IME, you could also talk about Peavey watts vs. "Other" watts!

There is ZERO question about that! This rig is a SERIOUS stage rig, and does NOT get the attention it deserves. I will not be sad to keep it if I don't get any local offers. I just don't need it :D but it IS a real player.

Had my Mark VI w/ 410T & 115BW for over 15yrs. They definitely don't get the props they deserve. Downsized to an Eden Metro about a year ago. Took about 6 months to sell the Peavey rig and, if it weren't so big, I would've been happy keeping it in a closet as a back up. I sure miss it, but my back doesn't :)

Good luck on the sale!

Thanks Rich!

I've got some solid local interest, but I'm still kinda surprised that this thing didn't just fly away at this price. The cabinets seem to be holding steady around $250-300 on eBay and Craigslist, and the head is essentially a brand new head b/c of the new power transformer.
