For sale is this cool JO 5, an unusual beauty in Lake Placid Blue. After decades of 4 bangers, I've just disovered 5'ers and I bought this to compare with my new 55-01. Although the neck is slimmer on the JO, I find I actually prefer the feel of the 55-01.
This bass is just back from Lakland where I had it PLEK'D.
A new bone nut was also installed, and I swapped out the J Retro that was in it for good ol' 3 knob plate. It is set up with Osborn heavy flats and plays great. It dates to 2004 has Fralin's in it. Hot 'n nasty passive punch! Not a heavy one, certainly under 10 lbs.
As for cosmetic concerns, the main boo boos are at the tip of the headstock (ouch) and a deep indent right near the ass end strap button. 2 marks on the back of the neck that don't bother me, and I'm picky about that. Other than some light scratches here and there that really don't photograph, everything is documented here:http://tombroeske.squarespace.com/photos/buy-my-bass-lakland-skyline-joe-osborn-5/
Included with the bass are 2 extra pickguards in Mint and Black and a very nice Mooradian gigbag. Asking $900 plus actual shipping from 53572. Money order much prefered.
Thank you for shopping with emblymouse!
