Details

This is a p bass body made in the 80's by Chandler (i.e. Paul Chandler of Chandler Royale bass fame)

It is black and has P/J pickup routes, no pickguard or holes, and a side jack. The heel is made to fender specs.

Overall condition is 7.5. It has a small chip near the precision pickup route (shown) showing the wood underneath plus a section on the edge near the jack where wood also shows. It also has buckle scratches on the back and some dings here and there. Overall in decent condition considering it is over 20 years old.

This includes the body and the rear control cavity covers with screws.

$160 plus shipping ($15-$21 in the US, $30 to Canada, $48+ overseas to most places.)

I have a want list here http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=477879

I do have a couple of basses up for trade as well as a warmoth neck that will fit this (neck also for sale.)

Thanks,
Joe

I am pretty sure it's alder also. I can't tell how many pieces without stripping it, but it's probably 2 or 3 piece. It is solid wood and not laminates like some cheaper Fender copies from the 70s and 80s. It seems like they were doing the warmoth thing way back then (like dimarzio) and it is a pretty good quality body and finish, not thick liek some cheap finishes. I think they were trying to make it as much like a fender as they could, woodwise and finishwise.

Thanks,

because this body is both light and finished I am not dropping the price. I am starting to lean towards keeping it. I just got a neck yesterday that would be perfect for it.

Thanks,
Joe

If sx necks are compaitible with fender or warmoth bodies then it will fit this body. I don't know the answer to that but I know that someone will on this forum. Go post the question in a new thread or do a search.

I tried putting an SX neck on a Fender body and the neck was too thick from front to back - with the same bridge adjustments the strings were against all the frets. I raised the bridge as much as I could, and there was still some buzzing. Some of them may fit, but mine didn't. Hope that helps . . .
