Here's the deal: I've got two, the second being a poly finished maple which I'm keeping. The walnut plays every bit as well but my right thumb is a little too rough on the oil / wax finish (I should really trim my nails on a regular basis). Here's the dope:

*Neck-thru walnut with maple stringers
*Pau Ferro fingerboard, 24 frets (slight wear)
*Gold Hipshot tuners (not a big fan of Gotohs)
*Stock pups / electronics...no issues
*Dunlop straplocks
*Graphtech type nut, recently replaced
*Hardshell case in okay / passable condition
*Weight ~8.75 lbs.

Overall, the cosmetic condition is an 8 / 10. There's a small indent (once again, thumb-induced) between the neck and neck pup. I've started a similar wear pattern just above the bridge pup which is not quite as bad. There's also a smattering of small scratches, indents, whatever but nothing to get bent about. Definitely a player but certainly not pristine by any means. Also just noticed there's a small amount of rust / corrosion on the pup mounting screws; I'll try to find replacements locally or swap some clean ones from the maple Cirrus. This has the truss rod cover and screws which will be included (I leave it off).

Man the timing absolutly sucks lol. I love the cirruses. Check my avatar. Gotta layaway plan lol.

Sure, why not? PM me with any suggestions. I'm not in dire need of the cash, I just need to clean house. Not a lot of cash out there this post-holiday season so I've learned to be flexible.

PM sent. Hows the action? does the truss rod still have some adjustment.

The action, IMO, is perfect and there's plenty of adjustment left in the truss rod. Correction: I haven't had to tweak the relief in over a year so I'm relying on memory. Very stable neck! I took the truss rod cover off about that time and never re-installed it.

 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Gee, Jerry....nothing like making a guy feel guilty,eh? One small consolation: she's going to another TBer who'll give her the attention and gig-time she deserves.

Just so you don't think I'm a total flake, I'm only on my second wife. I keep listing her under the "Other Stuff For Sale" forum but the mods insist on pulling it each and every time.

Jerry if it makes you feel better I will play this 4 to 6 gigs a month. I bought a Peavey Fury5 off of Ebay that I was told was an older American one with 35 scale and it was all wrong. I still like the Fury but I am hating the 34 scale on the five at a half step down so I really need this.

Would that be listed FS or FT? ;)

Well my friend, if you knew the history of this bass?? I sold it to Riis. This bass is one of those, "God I wish I hadn't sold that one" basses. You are going to love this one. It plays and sounds soooo good! I loved, no I mean I loved, a couple of different sets of strings on it. DR Fatbeams, and TI Super Alloys make that baby purrr. Honestly I didn't know Riis was selling it, and being so close to Christmas, I'm glad I didn't know until it was too late. The saying play it like you stole it comes to mind when I saw what you bought it for. Good for you!!
P.S. Riis is the man....

I will, I am in the process of building a Frankenstein Modulus. After all the parts that started with the neck I am into it for 1100.00 but that is cheap if I just bought a Modulus. Now tack on to that I just bought a Lakland from a fellow TBer.

Here is the bad part. The wife doesn't know lol. I have about 22 guitar and basses and trade around a bit. I dipped into an account I was fully planning to repay when I got paid. Well I didn't do as well as I thought I was going to do and spent way too much on Christmas. So now I have been selling off some really nice gear that I don't use as much. A 78 JMP Marshall, a smokin Ibanez RG570 w/emg's, a 50th anniversary Strat and some nice pedals and pups. So I have the money replaced.

But the timing was bad for me to get this. 640.00 for a Cirrus 5stg. I couldn't believe it despite some of the minor cosmetic stuff. It still looks awesome. This is a lesson to all. Don't let gas control you lol. Because a truely great deal is only right around the corner. I was only joking about the layaway but Riis said he would wait a few weeks for me to pay the balance. How cool is that of him?!!!

My cover band plays everything in the original key so I need 2 4stgs and 2 5ers. This makes 3 Cirruses and I couldn't be happier.

If ANYTHING happens when the wife finds out and you need to unload this, please please please please please please please let me know. I've been watching for one of these to buy when I get my paycheck for the holiday time I worked. I saw this right after he posted it but didn't say anything because I don't have the money right now. After you asked him and he responded positively, I swore so loud my wife came running back to see if I was all right. You lucky, lucky SOB.:crying::rollno:
