I've had the chance to play this bass and it's definitely a well constructed piece of art. The sound it versatile and it plays exceptionally well. The neck is comfortably thin and extremely sturdy.


If you're familiar with Mike Adler's work then you would know that this bass is a winner for sure.


But of course these are just my opinions.

how do these pickups compare to Bartolini customs like on Ibanez Prestige models?

The Adler pickups are made by Kent Armstrong custom made to Mike Adler's specs. The Adler pickups are very clear sounding. I'm not familiar with the Bart custom pickups so I can't make a comment on those pickups.

Interested in a Pre-fire Dingwall Voodoo Zebra 5 that was upgraded by Sheldon himself to the Aggie OBP-3 pre and FD-1 pickups? Or two different basses, a Human Base OC-x 5 with 2 big ol' Delano humbuckers and the wonderful Glock pre, PLUS a Lace Alumitone Helix 5?

I love all of these basses, I just don't play fivers much any more; they might as well get some lovin.

Tell me a little about the Adler if interested, like: what would you compare it to sonically? I'm sure it speaks with its own voice, but you can usually describe the tone based on shades of light or combinations of other instruments.
